This Programme has been historically important in Forever Sabah's long-term engagement with Indigenous and local communities of Sabah as well as for our exploration of ecotourism and restoration-based economies. ​

This programme was birthed through the Mukim Batu Putih Community Tourism Cooperative – KOPEL Berhad, a pioneering community cooperative championing the inclusion and community-driven processes in developing nature tourism, natural resource management and community empowerment.
